What’s on my GP2X

GP2X

Everytime I pick up my GP2X (which hasn’t been enough lately), I realize just how neat it is…

PocketSNES and SquidgeSNES – SNES emulators
The SNES is easily my all time favourite gaming console, and if all the GP2X did was play Pop’n Twinbee I’d be happy. Between PocketSNES and SquidgeSNES I can play every single game that I had on disk for my SNES/Super Wildcard. Totally 100% love it.

VICE2X – Commodore emulator
Not only emulates the C64, but also my first ever computer – the magnificent VIC-20!

Beat2x
Incrediby addictive DDR/Stepmania clone for the GP2X. It’s fast and pretty.

Gnuboy2x – Game Boy/Game Boy Colour emulator
I never had a GB color so the nostalgia factor just isn’t there for the colour games, but I was seriously into monochrome GB games (I’ve still got my mono GB) and Gnuboy2x plays them perfectly.

FloboPuyo
Kinda like a blobby Tetris. It’s fast and it’s pretty.

MAMEGP2X
MAME for GP2X!

GnGeo2x – Neo-Geo emulator
I was never really into Neo-Geo in the 90s, so I’m discovering it all for the first time – although Last Blade seems to be all I play.

GPFCE – NES emulator
Super Mario Bros, Zelda, Tetris. Can’t have a GP2X without a NES emu.

DrMD – Sega Genesis/Master System emulator
Plays everything from Alex Kidd to Sonic.

And… a few episodes of Degrassi Junior High, heaps of YouTube clips, some MP3s, and a few movies.

Yes ; I also have gp2x and use it for emulation all the time. The best thing I have ever done was buying this it seems.
